About the Department
Due to the multidisciplinary nature of the Degree in Food Science and Technology, it would be desirable for graduates who study Food Science and Technology subjects to show skills and characteristics such as interest in health promotion, an initiative for technological development, analytical skills, synthesis and creativity, ability to work in a team, motivation for quality and ease of learning and communication in languages other than the mother tongue, mainly English.
The profile to study Food Science and Technology is that of a person who is interested in scientific and technological knowledge of the food field. Both in those that affect food products and technological processes, as well as in the relationship between food and public health.
Internship
The UCAM has different training agreements in the food and hospitality industries so that, when studying Food Science and Technology, graduates carry out professional internships in companies during their academic years:

All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of five (5) credits, in the Senior Secondary School Certificate (WAEC, NECO, SAT, KCSE, ZIMSEC, GCE).
