Polytechnic University of Cartagena

Students whose native language is not Spanish must demonstrate a B2 level of Spanish in order to be admitted to the degree programs offered at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena in its own centers. This criterion applies to both bachelor's degrees, double degrees with a specific itinerary, and Successive Academic Programs whose admission process is through the Single University District of the Region of Murcia, as well as other regulated channels.

You can access official postgraduate studies (official master's degrees and/or doctoral studies) without prior need for homologation of the foreign university degree by requesting, during the corresponding admission period, the "Study file accrediting equivalent training level." Qualification required for access to university master's studies: Official foreign university degree that allows access, in the issuing country, to postgraduate studies. Qualification required for access to doctoral studies: Foreign university degree that allows, in the country of issue, access to doctoral studies. Students with degrees obtained in accordance with the regulations of the European Higher Education Area (degrees obtained in the European Union) have access to postgraduate studies (master's degrees and doctorates) under the same conditions as graduates.

Applications for places from students with partial or full foreign university studies who have not had their degree recognized in Spain will be resolved by the Director of the Center to which the degree they are applying for is affiliated. To be admitted, the student must obtain recognition of at least 30 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits. Credit recognition will be based on the similarity between the knowledge and skills acquired in the subjects passed in foreign studies and the subjects of the Spanish degree to which the applicant is applying. At the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, applications for admission through this route must be submitted to the Academic Management Offices of the Center that offers the degree program you wish to pursue. The offices will determine the deadline for submitting applications. The following documentation must be submitted : Original and photocopy of Passport or Foreigner Identification Number (NIE) Official Academic Certification of foreign university studies completed, stating: Title of the studies, specifying whether they are official and at the university level, and whether they provide access to postgraduate or master's studies, as applicable, in the corresponding country. Grading scale, necessarily indicating: the minimum grade to pass the subject, the numerical ranges that indicate the levels of achievement. The duration of each subject: annual, semester or quarterly, and the number of teaching hours for each subject. Programs of the subjects for which validation is requested (subject content). Curriculum. Affidavit stating that you have not requested homologation of your degree through the Ministry of Universities (only for graduates). All documents must be legally translated and legalized through diplomatic channels.
