Geology

Geology is the study of the Earth, its structure, composition, history, hazards, climate and resources. Geology uses materials such as rocks, minerals and fossils, together with computational and analytical methods, to provide an integrated understanding of whole Earth processes in 4D, linking the deep Earth, its crust, the surface and associated environments. Many socio-environmental problems can only be solved by a thorough understanding of geological principles.
