The PhD program in Electrical and Computer Engineering, by FEUP covers the classic areas in Electrical and Computer Engineering (such as energy, communication, electronics, automation and control) as well as emerging areas (such as robotics, machine learning, intelligent systems, cyber-physical systems, intelligent networks, and the new paradigms of computation), based on technological developments, of hardware and software, which support and propel new and society-transforming applications.
