About the Program
Final International University English Language Teaching Master's Program (with Thesis) is a 2-year program where students must complete 7 courses, a seminar, and a thesis, accounting for at least 120 ECTS credits. English Language Teaching Master's Program (non-thesis) is a 1.5-year program where students must complete 10 courses and a project, accounting for at least 93 ECTS credits. Students enrolling in the program may need to take deficiency courses if deemed necessary. Students are awarded a master’s degree in English Language Teaching.

Program Aims and Outcomes
The aim of the English Language Teaching Master's Program is to train teachers who are sensitive to the technologies and multiculturalism required by the 21st century, who can produce and direct knowledge, not imitate it. The program offers research skills and ethical values, as well as combining theory and practice. It aims to provide students with the ability to conduct original and independent research by following the contemporary developments and new methods in the field of English Language teaching, discussing them, and reaching scientific conclusions. In addition, it aims to provide opportunities to move to academia for the teachers who work in the field of English teaching in the TRNC Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports and its affiliated institutions and organizations, and to contribute to the field of English Language Teaching with original research at national and international level.
Students who graduate by taking courses in line with 21st-century realities and skills in the program will be competent experts who can keep up with the developments of the time. In this respect, the program will offer courses on English as a world language, intercultural communication, and technology use, as well as courses such as language acquisition, language teaching theory and method courses, linguistics, and sub-fields, taking into account that English is a universal language. It will enable them to become expert English teachers who can improve their knowledge, media, and technology literacy, have advanced communication and collaboration skills, and who can be successful today by having critical thinking skills and creativity.

Career Opportunities
The graduates of the program will have the opportunity to work in national and international primary and secondary schools, universities and educational institutions, research institutions, and technology companies that produce content and applications on relevant subjects. Demand for English language teaching continues to increase, and it is expected that there will be a similar demand for program graduates in the years to come. In addition, since they will have advanced language skills, it will be possible for graduates to be employed in sectors that require advanced English speaking, reading, and writing skills.
