Marine Biology

The PhD program in Marine Biology provides students with the opportunity to study ocean life through an extended research project. Students work alongside faculty mentors in a research-intensive environment, exploring topics such as community ecology of coral reef systems, tropical seagrass beds, mangroves and fisheries, deep sea/marine connectivity, ocean acidification, and macronutrient cycling.
